Reduced-Fee Availability
If cost is a significant barrier to beginning counseling, you are welcome to ask whether a reduced-fee space is currently available.
A limited number of reduced-fee spaces may be available based on financial need and current availability.
Reduced-fee arrangements are not guaranteed and may be discussed upon request.
Complimentary Consultation
A complimentary 15-minute consultation may be offered as part of the inquiry process. This brief conversation provides an opportunity to ask initial questions, clarify the type of counseling you are seeking, and consider whether my services appear to be an appropriate fit for your needs.
Self-Pay Practice
Anchored Mind Counseling is self-pay and does not accept insurance payment.
Payment is due at the time services are provided.
Clients are required to maintain a valid credit or debit card on file. The card on file will be charged on the day a counseling session occurs.
Choosing a self-pay practice allows counseling decisions to remain focused on your clinical needs, counseling goals, and the work we collaboratively identify as important, without disclosing your diagnoses.
Superbills and Possible Insurance Reimbursement
Superbills are available upon request for clients who wish to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance company.
A superbill contains information commonly required by insurance companies, including diagnostic and service information. Requesting or submitting a superbill therefore involves disclosure of this information to your insurance company.
Reimbursement is not guaranteed. Clients are responsible for contacting their insurance company to understand their out-of-network benefits, documentation requirements, deductibles, and reimbursement policies.
Payment for counseling remains the client's responsibility regardless of whether an insurance company provides reimbursement.

Cancellation and
No-Show Policy
Life happens. Sometimes unexpected circumstances occur and appointments need to be changed.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are considered late cancellations.
The late-cancellation fee will be waived for your first three late-cancellation occurrences during your time as a client of the practice. These three waived occurrences are lifetime practice allowances and do not reset annually or with a new episode of counseling.
After three late-cancellation occurrences, a $50 late-cancellation fee will be charged for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice. Appointments missed without communication are considered no-shows and will be charged a $50 no-show fee.
Cancellation and no-show fees are charged to the card on file.
