Professional Counseling That Honors Your Faith

For many Christians, faith is not simply one part of life. It shapes the way we understand ourselves, our relationships, our struggles, our values, and our hope.
When you come to counseling, you should not have to leave that important part of yourself at the door.
Christian counseling provides space for your faith to be meaningfully included in the counseling process while receiving professional clinical care. If your relationship with God and your Christian beliefs are important to you, they can be openly and thoughtfully explored as part of our work together.
What Faith Integration May Look Like
Depending on your goals and preferences, Christian counseling may include:
• Exploring Christian beliefs and values
• Discussing Scripture as it relates to concerns you are exploring
• Prayer
• Exploring your relationship with God
• Discussing spiritual struggles, doubts, or questions
• Exploring beliefs about identity, purpose, and worth
• Discussing forgiveness, grace, responsibility, and boundaries
• Exploring the relationship between beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors
• Considering spiritual practices that are meaningful to you
• Exploring faith as a source of hope, meaning, and support
You are welcome to talk openly about your faith—including the parts that feel strong and the parts that may feel complicated.
Clinical Care and Christian Faith
Clinical care and Christian faith are not competing approaches.
You should not have to choose between professional clinical care and counseling that thoughtfully honors the Christian faith that is central to your life.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I draw upon professional education, clinical experience, research, and evidence-informed approaches to understand and address mental health and relational concerns.
My Christian worldview is also an authentic part of who I am and meaningfully informs the compassion, dignity, hope, and respect I seek to bring into the counseling relationship.
My desire is to provide counseling that is clinically responsible, ethically grounded, deeply compassionate, and authentically Christian.
Is Christian Counseling Right for Me?
You do not need to know exactly how much faith integration you want before beginning counseling. We can talk about your preferences and what would feel meaningful and helpful to you. You can bring your questions, your struggles, your doubts, your pain, and your hope.
Christian counseling may be a good fit if:
• Your Christian faith is an important part of your life and identity.
• You want your faith to be meaningfully included in counseling.
• You want the freedom to discuss Scripture, prayer, or spiritual concerns.
• You are navigating questions where faith and emotional health intersect.
• You have felt that an important part of your worldview was overlooked in
previous counseling experiences.
• You are seeking professional counseling from someone who
understands and respects a Christian worldview.
